Chemical-Resistant Rotary Vane Vacuum Pumps Unveiled

With the Duovane C, Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions is expanding its product line with two chemical-resistant rotary vane vacuum pumps. Materials such as PEEK and operation with PFPE oil are designed for applications involving aggressive and condensable process media.

The Duovane 12 C and Duovane 22 C models achieve pumping speeds of 12 and 22 m³/h, respectively, at an ultimate pressure of less than 4 × 10⁻³ mbar. According to the manufacturer, like the other pumps in the series, they feature compact dimensions and a robust design. Single-phase and three-phase motor versions are available for worldwide use.

The C version is designed for applications with increased corrosion-resistance requirements. PEEK vanes provide greater resistance to process media. In addition, the pumps are designed for operation with high-purity, inert PFPE oil.

A stainless steel gas ballast system is integrated for handling condensable and aggressive process media. It is intended to reduce the risk of leakage, both air entering the vacuum pump and process media escaping from it.

Two 1/8-inch threaded connections allow automatic valves to be installed in two mounting positions. This enables the valves to be adapted to different installation configurations and integrated into the respective process. The design is aimed particularly at applications with increased requirements for corrosion resistance and process safety.
