The AirLINE Ex valve terminal (Type 8650) for Siemens Simatic ET 200iSP from Bürkert is used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and biotechnical applications. In process engineering plants, they take over a large part of the control engineering tasks and form the heart of modern production processes. Additional features include integrable pressure sensors and pressure switches for valve status query, pressure monitoring, and an upstream valve for external, safety-related shutdown. In addition, the permissible operating temperature range has been increased from 0 to 50 °C to 0 to 60 °C.
At the same time, the valve terminal is more compact than the predecessor model and, in addition to ATEX and IEC Ex approval, will soon also meet CCC Ex requirements for the Chinese market. Since the intrinsically safe valve terminal variant can be seamlessly integrated into the ET 200iSP decentralized peripheral system, the I/O system and valve technology can be accommodated in a common control cabinet, which not only saves space but also simplifies installation. The electro-pneumatic automation solutions from Bürkert are supplied as complete systems ready for connection, including the required ATEX certification.
