With the appointment of Samuel Schär, the Bühler Group is focusing on reliability for its employees, customers, and partners. Schär has been with the company for around 20 years. He established the Nanotechnology business unit, headed Grinding & Dispersing for several years, and has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2013. For ten years, he was responsible for the Advanced Materials segment, most recently for the global services and sales organization. Schär studied physics at EPFL Lausanne.
Focus on sustainable transformation
"More than ever, Bühler is playing an important role in the transformation of the food and feed industry and the mobility sector toward greater sustainability," said Samuel Schär on taking office. The focus will continue to be on innovative solutions with clear customer benefits and on healthy, long-term corporate growth.
Change in the Board of Directors
Stefan Scheiber looks back on a 35-year career at Bühler, including ten years as CEO. He is to be elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in February 2026. The current Chairman of the Board of Directors, Calvin Grieder, will step down from the board after a total of 25 years in various management positions.
