At Bodo Möller Chemie, responsibilities for several markets in the Middle East and Africa have been reorganized: Abdallah Dabaghi assumed operational leadership as Managing Director for the sites in Egypt, the Middle East, and Nigeria in May and July 2026. This new role complements his previous position as Executive Vice President for the Middle East & Africa (MEA).
With this appointment, the company is consolidating responsibility for key markets in the region. Dabaghi will be tasked with steering strategic and commercial development there. The focus will be on serving existing customers, tapping into new business areas, and expanding local offices and leadership teams.
Experience in Chemical Distribution
According to the company, Dabaghi has more than 25 years of experience in chemical distribution. His professional expertise includes sales, business development, and the establishment of regional organizations. He has been with Bodo Möller Chemie since late 2023 and was involved, among other things, in the development of the Life Sciences division in the Middle East.

Relevance for Surface Technology
For surface technology, this reorganization is particularly relevant due to the distribution business involving specialty chemicals. Among other things, Bodo Möller Chemie distributes adhesives and sealants, composite materials, and advanced materials. In the MEA region, the company plans to strengthen technical and commercial support for customers in order to further develop applications in collaboration with international suppliers.
The Offenbach-based company operates as a distributor across various industrial sectors. The newly consolidated responsibility in Egypt, the Middle East, and Nigeria is intended to help integrate regional structures more closely and expand the company’s market presence in these countries.
