Bodo Möller Chemie opens new competence center in Shanghai

The Offenbach-based company is further expanding its international presence. In addition, Kevin Pang has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the branches in China and Hong Kong and General Director of the branch in Vietnam.

With the newly opened Adhesive Competence Center, the adhesives expert is meeting the existing and constantly growing demand from the industry in China and Southeast Asia. The laboratory offers a wide range of services, including tests on tensile shear strength, viscosity, ageing, service life and thermal shock behavior of adhesive bonds. The laboratory is equipped with a universal testing machine, a climate chamber, a UV chamber, a vacuum drying oven, a viscometer and state-of-the-art manual and semi-automatic dispensing technology.

New opening and change of management

The reopening also saw a change in management: Kevin Pang has held the position of Managing Director of the Bodo Möller Chemie branches in China (Shanghai and Hong Kong) since March 2024, as well as the role of General Director of the recently opened branch in Vietnam. He started as Sales Manager at the then newly founded subsidiary in China back in 2015. "Kevin Pang has contributed significantly to the development of Bodo Möller Chemie China," said Lionel Breuilly, President, Bodo Möller Chemie APAC. "His appointment is an important step to further strengthen our presence in the region and achieve our strategic goals."

Consolidating the position

With the expansion and the new top management, Bodo Möller Chemie is consolidating its position in the global market. The company already operates Adhesive Competence Centers in Poland and Spain.
