With effect from October 2025, BIA Kunststoff- und Galvanotechnik has appointed two new Managing Directors. Dr. Felix Heinzler (41) and Jonas Püttbach (31) will manage and strategically develop the company together with owner Jörg Püttbach. The transition marks the beginning of a gradual generational change in the company management.
Dr. Heinzler, previously Head of Development and Process Technology at BIA, will also be responsible for Purchasing, Sales and Project Management. Dr. Heinzler, who holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering, emphasizes the strengths of the company: established internal expertise, committed employees and the ability to open up new markets outside of the automotive industry.
Experience from the international plant network
Jonas Püttbach brings with him extensive experience from managing the BIA plant in Mexico and working in Slovakia. As Managing Director, he will assume responsibility for production at the headquarters in Solingen and for supporting the international plants. One focus will be on further automation and increasing efficiency in production.
Both new Managing Directors believe that BIA is well positioned despite the challenging situation in the automotive industry. The aim is to strengthen existing customer relationships and develop new business areas at the same time. With this step, the owner family is underlining its long-term commitment to positioning the company for the future.
