Individuals or organizations can apply for the Stuttgart Surface Technology Award up to and including April 19, 2022. All those who have played an innovative role in shaping the surface technology industry are invited to participate. This year, the prize is to be awarded on the opening day of the international Surface Technology Germany trade fair in Stuttgart, which is scheduled to take place from June 21 to 23, 2022. Applications can be submitted at: ipa.fraunhofer.de/surface.
The independent expert jury is composed of Martin Metzner (Fraunhofer IPA), Martin Riester (VDMA Surface Technology) and Michael Hilt (Forschungsgesellschaft für Pigmente und Lacke e.V.) across disciplines. The 2020 award winner was Daimler Truck AG's "Eco Paint Process Truck" (EP-T), a flexible, automated painting process for truck cabs that requires less paint and lower temperatures.
