In fiscal year 2025/26, Trumpf increased its order intake by nearly 7 percent to 4.5 billion euros. Revenue remained at the previous year’s level at 4.3 billion euros, while the EBIT margin rose to 11.1 percent.

Trumpf reported stable revenue and improved profitability for fiscal year 2025/26. Revenue reached 4.3 billion euros, remaining roughly at the previous year’s level. Order intake showed significantly stronger growth, rising by nearly 7 percent to 4.5 billion euros. At the same time, the EBIT margin improved to 11.1 percent.

For the machine manufacturer and laser technology specialist, the higher order intake in particular is a sign of rising demand. The fact that orders exceed revenue points to solid capacity utilization in the current fiscal year. In addition, profitability has improved despite revenue remaining largely flat.

Order Intake Exceeds Revenue

With its ratio of order intake to revenue, Trumpf is starting the new fiscal year from a comparatively robust position. The company also views the start of the 2026/27 fiscal year positively. “The first quarter of the new fiscal year remains strong,” the press release states. This suggests that the order trend from the previous year will continue for the time being.

This development is also relevant for industrial users because Trumpf is active in numerous areas of manufacturing technology, including laser technology, machine tools, and solutions for connected production. Investment decisions in these segments are considered an important indicator of sentiment in the industry. A growing order intake may therefore indicate a renewed willingness to invest in manufacturing sectors.

Sign of a Willingness to Invest

At the same time, the key figures presented show that improvements in earnings do not necessarily result solely from strong revenue growth. Capacity utilization, cost structure, and the quality of order intake are also decisive factors. The fact that Trumpf was able to significantly increase its EBIT margin underscores this trend.

With regard to surface technology, the company is particularly relevant due to its laser technologies, which are used in material processing and related manufacturing processes. The current figures thus also provide insight into the investment landscape in industrial value chains where precision machining, automation, and production-related digitalization play a key role.
