The non-pigmented coating system from Teknos has already been successfully used by renowned window manufacturers for around five years following a test phase lasting several years. "The customers who are already using Aquatop 2600-6X are, without exception, delighted with the high quality," says Lars Gernoth, Area Sales Manager Industrial Wood (IW) for Central Germany at Teknos. In line with the warranty obligation of window manufacturers under the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB), Teknos also provides a full five-year warranty for Aquatop 2600-6X - provided it is properly cared for and maintained.
But how exactly does the product work? "Unlike many other suppliers, Aquatop 2600-6X does not use just one UV absorber, but a strong, unique UV absorber mix that effectively protects the wood while also preserving the surface appearance," explains Gernoth. No yellowing and no unsightly layers on the wood - "the colorless high-tech solution simply ensures a natural, matt look". The product is sprayed on using an airless or air-supported process.
