"The acquisition of Plaesa, following the acquisitions of Cohal, Gosuma and 100metros, will enable Antalis to expand its range of packaging solutions in the Iberian Peninsula with innovative and more environmentally friendly solutions for our customers," says Hervé Poncin, CEO of the Antalis Group.
Highly specialized packaging company
With an annual turnover of six million euros, Plaesa, a family business founded in 1983, is a major player in the provinces of Madrid and Toledo. As a highly specialized packaging distributor and processor, the company offers technical foams, rigid plastics (PE, EPS and PP), wood, cork and fabrics. Plaesa has continuously invested in advanced production equipment and has recently acquired new specialized machinery for processing PVC, canvas and cardboard to expand its capacity. The company serves a variety of industries, including manufacturing, medical, defense and retail.
Tapping into key target industries
The acquisition allows Plaesa to tap into key target industries, including furniture, automotive, electronics and other industries with customers within a 500-kilometer radius. "We are proud to give our company a new international boost today," adds Rafael Trufero from Plaesa. The acquisition is subject to the usual closing conditions.
