Leibinger launches a new air dryer for coding and marking in humid production environments. Continuos inkjet printers (CIJ) use a continuous ink jet to print best-before dates, texts, codes or other markings on packaging. With conventional printers, very high humidity can cause condensation on the print head. Humidity can also affect both the viscosity and the drying time of the ink. The integrated air dryer developed by Leibinger efficiently prevents this. It ensures that the inks adhere and dry quickly, guaranteeing smooth operation.
A dry environment for the print button
The air dryer ensures that CIJ printers reliably produce optimum print results at all times, including high print adhesion. To do this, it draws in the moist ambient air, removes the moisture from it and directs the resulting dry air into the print head. In contrast to the production environment, this creates a dry environment in the print head. The air dryer can be retrofitted to existing printers at any time.
