Under the title "Examples of the application of AI and digitalization in surface technology", experts will present new approaches from practice and development.
Oliver Drum from Gebrüder Dorfner GmbH & Co KG will speak on the topic of "Rethinking emulsion paints: Artificial intelligence as a development partner". The presentation by Robin Bärtle and Sebastian Mangold from J. Wagner GmbH will focus on "Digitalization and automation in paint application - opportunities and realistic prospects for the construction industry".
The face-to-face event will take place on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 17:30 to 20:00 at the Gewerbliche Schule für Farbe und Gestaltung, Leobener Straße 97, 70469 Stuttgart. The event is jointly organized by the Association of Paint and Varnish Engineers (VILF) and the GDCh's Paint Chemistry Section, with the support of the Research Society for Pigments and Varnishes (FPL) e. V. In recent years, the industry get-together has established itself as a compact forum for knowledge transfer and networking in the region.
