Dazzling colors for the bathroom

Bath elements in different shapes and colors - Bette GmbH & Co. KG from Delbrück is a premium manufacturer of bathtubs, shower surfaces, shower trays and washbasins made of glazed titanium steel. The production process is associated with high demands on the required compressed air.

The supply of high quality compressed air is the basic requirement for an efficient production process, it is needed as working air in metal processing and furthermore for the enamelling of the titanium steel elements. For this purpose, it must be absolutely oil-free. A premium manufacturer of bath elements had been using four compressors from different manufacturers to provide the necessary supply volume since the early 1990s. In 2017, the existing compressors were all replaced by Boge technology: screw compressors, microfilters and bluekat converters. The S132-4L and S100-3 screw compressors including microfilters and refrigeration dryers from Boge with downstream bluekat converters provide absolutely oil-free compressed air for the enameling process. Bette had already had positive experiences with the supplier of compressed air technology in the past. The top priority was to ensure the availability of compressed air of consistent quality at all times, especially for the enamelling process. For enameling, spray robots apply the enamel, and a relatively high pressure of eight bar is required for its atomization. In addition, this high air pressure must be 100 percent oil-free. If oil gets onto the steel substrate, the enamel layer loses its adhesive strength. In addition, any oil quickly spreads throughout the entire plant, causing time-consuming and costly work. This danger is averted by the Boge bluekat Converter BC210, which guarantees permanent compressed air quality of class 0 according to ISO 8573-1.
