Special powder coatings developed by a leading paint manufacturer, which are characterized by extreme weather resistance, gloss and color stability as well as a highly effective camouflage function, have now been tested and approved by the Wehrwissenschaftliches Institut für Werk- und Betriebsstoffe.

Until now, infrared camouflage in surface technology, which is particularly in demand in military use, has usually been implemented with wet paints. Industrial coatings supplier Brillux has developed a highly weather-resistant polyester powder coating that offers this camouflage function and has received F9 approvals. In addition, the paint system meets high standards in terms of weather resistance as well as gloss and color stability.

In close cooperation with the German Federal Armed Forces and the Wehrwissenschaftliches Institut für Werk- und Betriebsstoffe (WIWeB), Brillux Industrielack matched the current and relevant color shades in F9 for this industry: RAL 6031 Bronze Green as the base color of the spot camouflage coating (additionally also in HR), the two spot camouflage coatings RAL 8027 Leather Brown and RAL 9021 Tar Black as well as RAL 1039 Sand Beige as camouflage color for desert and steppe regions.

The F9 colors are supplemented by RAL 1013 Pearl White and RAL 9005 Deep Black in HR. These two colors are used to coat vehicle and container interiors and chassis parts that are not in direct view.
