60th anniversary of the company

Höcker Polytechnik has been developing, planning and producing extraction and filtration systems for 60 years. With its focus on energy efficiency and compact solutions, the company has been able to make a name for itself in the wood and paper processing industry.
Höcker Polytechnik GmbH has now been manufacturing extraction and filtration systems for 60 years. In September, the Hilter-based company took the opportunity to celebrate its long-standing success with employees, friends and business partners.
Businessman Günther Höcker founded the company in 1962 as the Polytechnik trading and assembly company. He recognized the needs of the market early on and focused on the development and production of space and energy-saving extraction and filtration systems.
Today, Höcker Polytechnik is an established manufacturer of equipment for process waste disposal in the woodworking industry, the cardboard and corrugated board industry, as well as for the recycling industry and manufacturer of paint booths. In the meantime, the company has its own sales offices or trading and service partners on all continents. To date, more than 60,000 systems have been developed, produced and installed.
In 1991 Höcker opened a production and sales site in Poland, in addition to the existing production at the Hilter site in Lower Saxony. In 1993 the generation change took place and Günther Höcker handed over the management to his son Frank. Besides the expansion of the business in the new federal states, he pushed the establishment of a quality management system. In 2001, he appointed long-time employee and authorized signatory Christian Vennemann as second managing director. The two still work together today.
In 2009, the company location in Hilter was bursting at the seams. Frank Höcker decided to make the largest single investment in the company's history: in 2010, a new office building was constructed, followed in 2012 by the construction of the new logistics center with 3300 square meters of floor space.
Through the acquisition of Pipgras Lackieranlagen GmbH, the product portfolio was expanded to include painting systems in 2014. In 2015, another solar power plant went into operation on the roof of the production facility. In total, more than 230,000 kW/h of electricity are generated annually. Modern heat pump heating and cooling systems have made the buildings largely independent of fossil fuels since 2021. Since 2016, the introduced energy management system has been certified according to ISO 50001.
In 2017, Höcker opened a new laser center in Plant II at the site in Poland. In 2021, construction of an additional company building began, with completion scheduled for the end of this year. This will house electrical engineering, construction and the IT area. This new building will also have a PV system with an additional output of almost 150 kWp (kilowatt peak).

Dust extractor with economy drive
Over the past 60 years, Höcker has repeatedly succeeded in responding to market challenges with new developments. In 2017, for example, Höcker Polytechnik was the first manufacturer whose extraction systems are 100 percent interface-compatible with tapio - the Industry 4.0 standard in wood processing. Another highlight product is the MultiStar C hybrid filter system, which was launched in 2018. Innovations such as the Vacumobil with IE5 efficiency power pack and the Vacumobil MD160 medium-pressure dust extractor were introduced to the public in 2020 and 2021, and subsequently became part of the Höcker success story.
