DeburringEXPO: Surface finish for medical and pharmaceutical technology

In medical and pharmaceutical technology, increasingly higher demands are being placed on deburring and surface finishing. For these quality-critical production steps, DeburringEXPO will present new and further developed products and services from 10 to 12 October 2023 in Karlsruhe.

Products for the medical and pharmaceutical industries are to be made more patient-friendly, functional and durable through new materials and manufacturing technologies. The surfaces of endoprosthetic products, instruments and components for diagnostic and therapeutic devices must be highly precise, mirror-smooth and free of defects so that they are easy to clean, cross-contamination by product residues or microorganisms is avoided and wear is minimised. DeburringExpo presents the entire spectrum of technologies, processes, tools and services for deburring, edge rounding, cleaning and surface finishing. Companies from the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries will find a wide range of support offers in their search for suitable processes and services in the Karlsruhe exhibition halls from 10 to 12 October 2023.

The exhibition spectrum also includes special technologies such as ultrasonic deburring or flow grinding. With the former, the removal of burrs on a wide variety of materials can be carried out fully automatically and with process reliability. Flow grinding is used for deburring, edge rounding and polishing of complex components. In addition to the exhibitor presentations, the supporting programme of DeburringEXPO offers a lot of knowledge and know-how. The theme parks "Automated deburring", "Cleaning after deburring" and "Quality assurance in the deburring process" provide information on current developments for these tasks.
