DFO: Edge covering in corrosion protection

When discussing the performance of anti-corrosion coatings, the word edge coverage is often mentioned. The term refers to the ability of the coating material to achieve a sufficiently high film thickness in relatively sharp-edged areas of the object to be painted.

When discussing the performance of anti-corrosion coatings, the word "edge coverage" is also mentioned at some point. It is one of the greatest weak points for possible corrosive attack points. For this reason, coating systems relevant for corrosion protection are often advertised with a corresponding performance in terms of edge coverage, and numerous coating developers focus their efforts on optimization in this respect.
