SurTec International GmbH will present its portfolio of chemical surface treatment solutions for aluminum at Aluminium 2026. A key focus will be on processes for corrosion protection, sealing, and the preparation of bonding processes. These include passivation and pickling-passivation treatments for applications in the automotive industry, as well as high-performance passivation treatments for copper-containing aluminum alloys with QPL certification for the aerospace and defense industries.
In addition to technical performance, the energy and resource efficiency of the processes are taking center stage. “The requirements for aluminum surface treatment are constantly evolving. At the same time, resource efficiency and sustainable processes are becoming increasingly important,” says Dr. Torsten Koerner, Director of Global Product Management at SurTec International GmbH.
Process Chain for Aluminum Anodizing
Another key focus of the trade show presentation is anodizing. The product portfolio includes process solutions for the entire process chain, from surface preparation and anodizing through coloring to various sealing processes. SurTec’s global center of excellence for anodizing in Italy brings together the application and process expertise for these procedures.
Among other things, nickel-free cold- and medium-temperature densification processes will be presented at the trade show. With these processes, SurTec addresses requirements for process control and resource utilization in anodizing. Trade visitors can learn about these solutions from October 6 to 8, 2026, at the Aluminium trade show in Düsseldorf at Booth 3G52.
