Traxit Wire Lubrication, previously a brand of Klüber Lubrication, is becoming Surtec’s sixth application area. Both companies are part of Freudenberg Chemical Specialties. With this reorganization, Surtec is expanding its product portfolio for metalworking and tapping into additional applications in cold forming.
Traxit brings to the table a comprehensive portfolio of dry lubricants, wet drawing aids, and carrier coatings. These products are used in wire drawing and other forming processes. This is complemented by Surtec’s existing expertise in metal pretreatment and industrial parts cleaning. “Traxit and Surtec are combining their complementary strengths to create one of the industry’s most comprehensive offerings for cold forming applications,” says Dr. Karsten Grünke, CEO of Surtec.
From Wire Drawing to Other Cold Forming Processes
The new field of application is intended to extend beyond Traxit’s existing core business in wire drawing. Traxit’s existing customer base, product portfolio, and technical service will remain the foundation. These will be complemented by Surtec’s international network and market expertise.
With this organizational integration, Surtec is expanding the company’s activities to include related manufacturing processes. This will enable users to access a bundled offering of products and technical expertise for various stages of the cold forming process.
