Böblingen-based Eisenmann GmbH has a large portfolio of conveyor systems for VBH and KTL processes in vehicle production and the metalworking sector. In order to meet the increased demands on productivity and painting quality, Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge AG decided to modernize its paint shop. One component of the new concept is the conveyor technology. In the new paint shop, Eisenmann conveyor technology now ensures that the car bodies run safely and efficiently through the surface treatment process.
Flexible dip curve with VarioShuttle XL
Eisenmann's engineers drew on a great deal of experience when developing the VarioShuttle XL. For example, the KTL cables are located inside the pendulum housing. This enables current transmission of up to 1,000 amperes. Eisenmann operates a test setup for the VarioShuttle XL in Böblingen, puts the system through its paces and also provides software support. With the VarioShuttle, it is now possible to adjust the dip curve at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles at any time as required, with simulation and process control playing a key role.
